About this place
When looking for a satisfying meal inside a station building, pasta tailored to your mood with distinctive sauces and varied noodle textures is an easy choice. Situated on the restaurant floor of Granduo Kamata's West Building, Kamakura Pasta Granduo Kamata offers a diverse menu taking advantage of the chewy bite unique to fresh pasta, with sauce styles ranging from rich creams and bright tomato bases to delicate Japanese dashi broths.
A key draw across much of the menu, including the house favorite Kamakura-style thick-cut bacon carbonara, is the option to choose between standard spaghetti and broader ribbon-cut fettuccine. The wider fettuccine excels at clinging to rich cream sauces, matching decadent choices like the sea urchin and salmon roe cream pasta. For something lighter, the kitchen also turns out dishes with distinct Japanese accents seasoned with bonito flakes and dashi-infused butter, such as roasted duck with grilled green onion in dashi-butter soy sauce, or Sakurahime chicken and spinach in dashi-peperoncino.
Side dishes neatly pace the meal, whether you order warm basil bread to mop up leftover sauce or start with a crisp salad and a caprese made with Hokkaido mozzarella. Diners can stretch out the break after their meal with a cup of coffee alongside a matcha sweet or a "KamaDORA" pancake dessert.
The dining room is arranged primarily with tables in a calm setting, accommodating solo diners stopping for lunch as comfortably as families thanks to high chairs and a dedicated children's menu. Direct access to Kamata Station makes it an effortless, dependable stop for a plate of freshly made pasta between shopping stops or on the commute home.
